Key Responsibilities

• Verify resident identity before administering medications and document all details, including drug name, dosage, and time.

• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any adverse reactions, reporting concerns as needed.

• Take vital signs and assess residents' responses to medications.

• Document reasons for any medications not administered.

• Assist with direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and supporting examinations or treatments.

• Receive, prepare, and distribute medications per physician orders.

• Maintain and restock medication inventories as necessary.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program

• Successful completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course per state requirements

CNA Job details/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.

• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents are maintained.

• Acts appropriately under the direction of the Charge Nurse and acts as an active member of the inter-disciplinary team.

• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with the established Care Plan.

• Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to the established Care Plan.

• Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner.

• Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.

CNA Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited high school or GED is preferred.

• Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.

• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.

This dual-role position assists with meal preparation, cooking, food service, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. You will help ensure residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals while following established dietary policies and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and portion control guidelines

• Coordinate food preparation with scheduled meal service

• Follow standardized recipes and therapeutic diet orders

• Prepare food for regular, modified, and special diets

• Safely operate kitchen equipment and appliances

• Follow menu requirements, portion sizes, and presentation standards

• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and work areas
